Obedience

Has it ever happened in your life when you tried to take control of a situation and it didn't work out the way you wanted to, so you just gave up? How about, have you ever went through a situation where you were in control and you saw it didn't turn out how you wanted it to so you turned to God and He brought you through it with a better overcome that you could have even imagine?!

Some times we need this to happen to just show us that we can not do anything unless through Christ first. Simon and the fishermen went out into sea and after a very unsuccessful day at sea, Jesus took them back out and showed them what they could do if only they trusted in Him. (Luke 5)
Every selfish person will go through life with disappointments because they think they can have full control over every situation. This was me, and I'm sure it was everyone before they met God. We only wanted to do things our way. Just like a parent teaches their children from right and wrong; a child is always going to think they know better than their parents and do everything their way. Which only leads to failure. Every situation I have gone through that ended up in disappointment I like to think back and say what if I just trusted in God in that situation? What would the outcome be? Well thankfully, God has given me so many second chances to trust in Him and let Him have control over those situations, this time around. It is so much better! Even though it's taking longer than it did when I was in control, God is taking His time and He won't let it end in failure. That's impossible for God.
When God tells us to do something, we should be so quick to just agree and do what He is telling us. The worse thing to do is ignore that clear voice that is leading our life. We need to stop our busy lives with all of our busy plans and just sit back and listen and do as God says. For if we don't listen to God, He will 'punish' us. I don't want that to sound so harsh but we need to just do what God is telling us. Simple as that. Things aren't going to turn out great if we don't listen to God. That's the biggest part of our relationship with God, obedience. If we obey what God is saying, He will lead us down the road to success.

God always knows what is best for us even when we think we know better than Him. God knows the outcome of our life, we don't. So we need to start building that trust in God and believe that He will only allow the best for us!
